Vikings, also known as Norsemen were fearsome warriors from Scandinavia. These strong and courageous men were in fact explorers who raided and colonized many areas of Europe in during the Middle & Dark ages. Norsemen were also skilled sailors remembered for their long ships called “Drakkar”.

The weapons carried by the ruthless warrior were an indication of their social status. a Soldier carrying the whole kit including the helmet, shield, chain mail and sword was considered wealthy. They were also known for their use of huge double axes in battle.

My personal favourite, the Damascus Viking sword.

This is my personal favourite for two reason. First the design is simple but very good looking and second, it is forged with a combination of iron and steel which creates what is called a Damascus blade. The blades are known to ba amongst the strongest you can find. A great choice for any collector.
