Coppergate Helmet

The original Coppergate helmet was recovered during excavations in the ancient walled city of York in 1982. This amazing helmet, from the 8th century, as you ca imagine is of the greatest archeological importance. Here is the exact replica by Cas Hanwei, the inscription on the crest is an invocation for protection from the helmet’s owner Oshere to the Holy Trinity. This replica certainly illustrate the skills of the blacksmiths of the 8th century. Crafted in antiqued stainless steel, the helmet is fully wearable with a padded liner and is provided with a display stand detailing the helmet's history.
