All in all not a bad sword. I did have a couple of niggles: for one thing, the sword hilt isn't wrapped in genuine leather. It isn't even wrapped in fake leather. What it is, is the whole handle is cast metal of some kind, with a fairly obvious join on both the front and the back of the grip where each side has been welded together. This obvious on the vine detail which doesn't always match up, as well as the 'leather' sections which look quite ugly in places. The 'leather' is just painted metal. Despite this, the paint is a very nice colour and really looks the part even close up: just not when you're looking at where the welds are on either side of the grip. The blade is VERY nice, and comes with a good two-tone satin polish on it. Like the majority of the LOTR replicas, it's not sharpened, and instead has been given a false edge.
It's not as heavy as I expected, and although it does weigh a fair bit (it's an all-metal replica after all), it balances enough that you can whirl it around your head without getting too tired.
Given the relatively cheap price of this sword (it's much bigger than my sword of Boromir which cost me the same amount), it really is worth it. I wouldn't be able to afford a perfect copy of a film prop for what these are going for o the web, and you really must expect some imperfections on a film replica. So bearing this in mind I'm really happy with it!
