The Practical Pro Katana is characterized by an extended tsuka and a thicker and longer blade.
The Blade is representative of all Paul Chen Swords and is hand forged using high carbon steel and is differentially tempered using the ancient and traditional claying method. Off all the swords is the Practical Series this one is characterized by a finer polish. The tsuka is wrapped with a synthetic black leather to improve the gripping characteristics.
The katana is stylized with a round Kuruma tsuba, which represents the "Wheel of Dharma", symbolizing the Buddhist concept of the Noble Eightfold Path. For those interested in an economical katana that can stand the rigors of heavy cutting (tameshigiri), the Practical Pro is an excellent choice.
